Your First Visit
For first-time patients, we recommend completing our patient intake form before your appointment.* If you're unable to complete the form beforehand, please arrive 10-minutes early, a member of our staff will be happy to assist you.
Initial Examination
To start your appointment, your dentist will look over your dental and medical history and complete an oral exam, which will include any required x-rays, an examination of your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite, and potentially an oral cancer screening.
Treatment Plan
Based on your examination and history, your dentist will likely create a long-term dental treatment plan to fit your needs.
He or she will also answer any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.
Insurance & Payment
At Peterborough Dental Clinic, we believe your personal finances should never influence whether you receive appropriate dental healthcare. We'll help you navigate direct billing to insurance companies and payment options, so you can focus on getting the care you need.
Direct Insurance Billing
We offer direct billing for most insurance plans. At Peterborough Dental Clinic, we can help you submit your insurance claim electronically, which should lead to faster reimbursement - no need for paper forms or signatures.
Need help understanding your insurance plan? Our administrative team can assist you and, if requested, send your insurance company estimates before beginning major treatment.
Payment Methods
You are responsible for paying in full at the time of your appointment. All claims are billed to your insurance company directly and you will receive your insurance payment within a few business days. For your convenience, we accept cash, credit (Visa and MasterCard), and debit cards.
*Any form submitted by email must be encrypted, to ensure it is secure. By submitting an unencrypted email form, you are consenting to an unsecured email. Alternatively, please print off the form, complete it, and bring it to our office.
